How Antimicrobial Technology Works
Applying Veraco Antimicrobial Surface covers directly to touchpoints creates a vital layer of protection that works alongside routine cleaning and hand hygiene. Micro-living organisms adhere to touchpoints after use, leading to surface contamination. With Veraco applied to surfaces the antimicrobial layer triggers a reaction causing failure to the DNA and biological composition of these microorganisms - Inhibiting their growth, preventing reproduction and their ability to survive on the surface.
Examples of other applications of antimicrobial technology in healthcare are: Silver wound dressings, Disinfectant wipes, coatings on catheters.
